Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with Seattle Wind Symphony at Benaroya Hall!

Benaroya stage will ignite with energy, color, and festive music in honor and celebration of America's birthday. The concert will feature a diverse array of American composers, with selections representing the many powerful voices that enrich our nation. Concert host Dave Beck (Classic KING FM radio host) will narrate Aaron Copland’s powerful Lincoln Portrait and we will honor the service of our active military and veterans with a Salute to the Armed Forces. Local composer Megan Vinther will conduct a special performance of Under Pines and Stars, music she composed to pay tribute to the Pacific Northwest. The Star-Spangled Chorus returns to the stage under the direction of Dr. Linda Gingrich, and will join the band for a rousing rendition of John Phillip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever.

Seattle Wind Symphony is committed to keeping our Independence Day celebration concerts free and open to the public as a service to the community, welcoming community members who might not be able to access regular programs at this prestigious concert hall. We need your help to continue this 11-year tradition of a free Independence Day concert.

Any amount helps us keep the concert going - donations of $5, $15, or $100 are all greatly appreciated.
